Carpenter's Hall, PA

2024 was the 250th anniversary of the First Continental Congress, which met in Carpenters' Hall. I visited there in the fall to commemorate the anniversary. It's a fun place to go and very close to everything else. I tacked some footage of Independence Hall to the video, as well.

Gaines' Mill Battlefield, VA

The Battle of Gaines' Mill occurred in June 1862 and is very close to Cold Harbor.

D-Day Memorial, VA

I visited the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA, just in time for the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The memorial is fantastic and a hidden gem away from Washington, D.C.

Cold Harbor Battlefield, VA

Visited Cold Harbor Battlefield just in time for the 160th. The Battle took place from May 31 to June 3 1864

WWI Memorial, Washington D.C.

The WWI Memorial in Pershing Park has been there for several years, but recently sculptor Sabine Howard added a new element. I visited there soon after opening, but before the reflecting pool was added.

Petersburg Battlefield, VA

As part of my sweep in Southern VA, I visited the Petersburg Battlefield just in time for the 160th anniversary. The battlefield is a driving battlefield with walk trails.

Johnstown Flood, PA

I visited Johnstown, PA, for the 135th anniversary. The flooding took place on May 31, 1889, and is one of the worst floods in American history.

Titanic Exhibit, MD

This Titanic Exhibit was a traveling exhibit in 2024. I saw it on its stop at National Harbor, MD.
